Grande vs. Regular
Actually the Grande was more expensive. I remember in 1973 when my sister bought a coupe, there was a 72' grande she could have gotten but she didn't like the color. I was 13 yrs old and now that I think back she should have taken the72' less emisions crap and normal bumpers. Oh well.

It comes just as stated,, with a prettier interior, deluxe door panels, cushier carpet, and wood trim inside and a center console plus thestandard 351,, 55 extra lbs of sound insulation, and the addition of voided rubber bushes in the front eyes of the rear leaf springs, allowing the axle to move bacck a little over bumps,, : bad for racing starts but good for comfort.
The Grandes in '69 came with wire wheel covers, rocker moulding, rear decklid and endcap mouldings, wheel opening mouldings, sport mirrors, Grande script on roof, unique pin stripes, woodgrain dash, woodgrain door panels, rear interior panels with woodgrain and armrest, and hopsack cloth seats. Also as some one mentioned the rear leaf springs were slightly different on the lower performance models.
Console and vinyl top were actually optional though it seems most have a vinyl top. Also any non-Boss enginescould be ordered with the Grande (except for the R-code 428). That means the 200 6 cyl. was standard.
Here is a picture of my Q-code Grande.
