I would be ahesitant to send my 18 year old daughter off to college in a 40+ year old car, on which she is 'hoping to learn' maintenance.

I drove my 65 in high school and learned the maintenance part even before that, but I didn't dare take that car with me off to school.None of my dorms or apartments had garages for me to work in, or store tools in.Plus,it sure would suck to loose study time to have to get your only transportation going when it broke.Had I not know how to work on it, there wouldhave been awhole new setof problems on top of that as well.
IMO, this situation here sounds like a lot of opportunities to get ripped off by mechanics and spend a bunch of time bumming rides from friends while the car is in the shop.
it dont look bad check the cowl vent for rust pour water in the cowl vent the holes right there by the wipers if it comes out in the floor of the cars its rusted.im with the rest of them if you buy it the airshocks need to replaced before driving it anywhere
Judging from thepictures it looks like a nice clean little Mustang. Looks to be nice, clean, and stock car.
I am of the opinion that a stock 6 cyl car would be fairly reliable, but as stated, this is just my opinion....
