Yeah congrats dude. I work at Safeway as a cashier. Just make sure you are always doing your best, help customers if they need help, and do whatever managers ask you to do. At the place I work they are looking at promoting a new male to service manager. They are looking at either me or transfering someone in ... and i've only been working there for a month and i'm only 16. Getting a mustang sure would be easy with a $16.50 an hour at 16.

Nobody starts at the top. I know I didnt.
+1

i didnt either, i started out as a bagger, courtesy clerk, at 5.25 an hour and worked my butt off and saved all my money and it all went straight to the bank and i bought my mustang. i didnt cre about the rate of pay, i was a hard worked and my supervisors noticed that, so i got alot of hours. over time they realized i was a great hard worked and i got promoted to cashier at 6.40 an hour, overtime i got promotions and now im a manager of my department

And I thought all there was to drink back then was sarsaparilla.

I'm proud of you for taking the initiative to take a job and help support your Mustang habit even if it is a $7.50 an hour bagger/cart guy.
If it's any consolation to you, I made 0.50 cents an hour as a soda jerk when I was in high school and had to work until 10:00 every night topay for my 1951 Chevrolet.
Ya know what? I have never even had a taste of saspirilla. I have read about it inwestern novel books of course, but never came in contact with it. I did have my fill of Gin, Vodka and the ever present everclear when I was in high school. Marijuana was not available, and we didn't even know about it. The bootleggers would meet us outside of town and sell us beer and booze and that was our contribution to the sinful world back in the late 50's and early 60's.
Soaring, I didn't know you were so corrupt in high school, what a bad kid.

Okay thank you everyone. But to whoever asked I wont be living check to check. Yes I do have transportation. Bike and car. I'll have to start out with bike and since albertsons is only a couple miles away ill probably keep it so I dont have to buy gas on my jeep. costs 60 bucks to fill it up. I'll let my dad drive it since it's technicaly still his car since hes paying for insurance and stuff. and to 73sport yes I have looked in my area and I've seen a few that I've posted on here to ask if it's a good deal. Haven't found any great ones yet. And I'm mainly interested in a 69 coupe. I want a coupe not vert or fastback. and 69 is my favorite year but id take any onther year too lol. thats how unselfish I am.

Albertsons tried to invade the Houston market a few years ago. It was a miserable failure. After they left, HEB and Kroger moved in to the buildings Albertsons left behind.
