Default What is the problem?

Hi all,

Just finished installing both new front (ballanced) drums new set of shoes, springs, adjusters .... the works.
On braking, I get annoyoing vibrations from the front wheels. Can't tell from which side---feels the same from L/R
Front wheels are freshly ballanced as well.

Shoes were tested for fit against the drums before instalationand it did look good.

WHAT ISTHE PROBLEM?
How do I lose those vibes?

Thanx

TC

One of the hubs may not be fully seated in the new drum. Pul the tires and check the roll out?

You might need to grease your brakes,,,,,,,,,,,

Just kidding.....

Maybe they just need some time to break in, I remember that they used to "arc" brake shoes to get a better initial fit in the drum.

There are two different shoes on each side. Each side should have a short shoe in front and a long shoe in back. Is that how you put them on, or did you put two short ones on one side and two long ones on the other side?

Yes . I did pay attention to the primary and secondary shoes and as far as I can tell they are all installed correct.
I alsodid thinkof this mightas a thing of initial use that will go away after a while... I guess I will have to wait and see b/c everything seems to be right. The wheels as well, they both sit tight on the drums.

Gremlins......
