Default specific part ? 69 stang

so im converting my drum brakes to power disk. when i was removing the original master cyl. from the brake pedal there was this small part attached the has hook ups for some sort of harness that was not there. it say autolite on it. im guessing it is the thing used to light up ur brake lights when braking. but im not sure does any one no what it is.

If you are talking abouta little box about an inch square on the brake pedal assembly with a plug in for a harness ,yes thats what it is ,the brake light relay.

On my 70 its just a little set of wires with a plug on the end in the shape of the relay.I will walk out to the shop in the AM and take some pics if you'd like
