Drip rails
Ladies and Gentlemen, and children of all ages (to those mostly under 30), I am proud to reveal the super secret auxillary beer can (and bottles with reluctant tops too) opener, which, by some enterprising backyard mechanic or his drinking buddy, was found to be an excellent drip rail removal tool. This is a model first introduced inthe New England states to promote opening of Rupert Knickerbocker Beer. For those of limited experience or age, you got an opener with the purchase of a case of beer back then. Also in my collection of drip rail removal tools are: Lucky Lager, Hamm's, Schlitz, Ballantione, Pabst and Coors.

that "church key" thing didn't work for me. I wrapped mine in electrical tape and watnot but all it did was start to tweak the actual metal drip rail. so what i did instead was from the inside of the car, where the moulding clips and wraps into, I took a 3" (i think) chissel thing and put it inbetween the moulding and metal, then hit it with my hand to loosen it up, then slighly wiggle and pry to get it free. Do it in small sections until you go through the whole thing (avoid the curved corner) and then if it hasn't popped up yet, go to the beginning and put the chissel under and pry it gently off. It worked great for me.
Also, I have a 69, so maybe the moulding is slightly different. But thats what worked for me!
