Default Radiator advice: Angel or Devils?

My '68 vert's got a clogged radiator...

There's an angel floating over my head saying, "Pull the radiator, have it tanked and cleaned out, then put it back in. It's the easiest and cheapest."

Then there's a devil on one shoulder saying, "Pull the radiator and replace it with an aluminum one. You'll never be able to use the a/c if you ever get it working unless you improve the cooling system. Who cares that it'll way more than triple the cost of cleaning out the old one."

And then there's a devil on my other shoulder saying, "Well, since you have to pull the radiator anyway, why don't you put in that better, faster, smoother engine you've got collecting dust on that stand in the garage? And wouldn't an aluminum radiator look great in there with a shiny new engine?"

They're all good ideas. Which one should I listen to?!?

Thanks! I checked that out, but they didn't have one where the inlet and outlet were on the right hand side. I've got the stock setup on my vert including power steering and factory air. I'd have to replace too much stuff to make it work.

I'm running a BeCool on my fastback and haven't had any troubles. I suppose it's time to go do some more surfing...

Thank you, everyone!

Guess I should have posted the other link on the installation....making the mounts, etc.

http://www.midnightdsigns.com/Mustan...r_install.html

Regarding having the ports on the same side, a reputable radiator shop can move that bottom port to the other side for cheap.... something like $40
