I finished a little side job and i recieved my payment and i am looking into buying two door shells an outer wheel well both rear quarter panels and a decklid. Does anyone have any suggestions before i go ahead and make my purchase. I thought i would go through california mustang they have reasonable prices. Will the doors have ok fitment?

I have never heard a member here brag on how well their reproduction body parts fit. So, expect the worst. There was a post on here this morning about a guy owning several classic mustangs and he is selling parts. See if you can find that post below. Going with original OEM parts is your best bet.

FWIW, the Ford tooling repo fender fit like an absolute glove on my '65 fastback. That said, the cheap repop that it replaced fit like absolute crap by the headlight bucket.

I'd try to find a used original in good condition if you can. That said, I'd rather take my chances on one of those repops than hire somebody to do hours of patch work on a rust bucket. Try one door and see how it fits. If it is lousy, return it. If acceptable, pick up another one.

Good to hear some positive feedback on these repops. I wounder if california mustang gets the same manufacturer for their parts
http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-4696-19-0.html I cant afford to pay 800$ for an original door shell i might as well forget the mustang hobby if i am gonna dish out that much money.
