Default Investment in classic mustangs?

Hey i just wanted to know if restoring a classic mustang will make a good investment. For instance, what if i buy a classic for about 2500 and then putting 10 grand into it, do you think i will make more money than i put into it? Just a random question.

I think it would all depend on how nice a job you did on the car and the location that you tried to sell it.

Go to e-bay and see what your prospective car is selling for. The difference between the two prices, buying and selling, is your budget. Keep in mind that most Mustangs go up in value anyway.

depends on the car like the v8 is worth more then a inline6. how much rust there is how well the work is done.theres 3 different restoring ways a ok close to factory, a factory/concors car, and the restomod. a coupe is worthless then a convertable or fastback. just remember sometimes you loose money on cars.

it would be atrip to build and own but i doubt you would make a dime, probably lose thousands. the paint job alone will be like 5 g's, then that 5-8 grand engine, 3-4 grand tranny, cost of the original car, 1500-2 for the rear, atleast a thousand for the suspension, interior and guages would combine to atleast 1500. am i kinda makin a point? it sounds like it would work a t first but it wont work out, just enjoy it for what it is. only the big businesses make money and thats because they throw a new "concept" together and only make 15 of them and charge 75000 for em

unless your car is a special model, most likely the answer is NO, unless you restore now and sell in 10 or 15 years
