Do they require licenses in the 'land down under'? I thought you guys rode 'roos to get to around, at least until you got to be 14 or 15 years old. I learned to drive on a John Deere tractor around 14 or so, no license required, just keep the damn thing going straight.

I was about 10 or so when my daddy put me on a G John Deere in his lap and taught me how to drive it. I became a state winner in the tractor driving contest at the state fair of Texas in 1960 when I was 16 years old. I haven't been on a tractor since then.

i learnt to drive in a LandCruiser pickup when i was 9. I must admit when i turned 16, getting a licence was pretty easy. Drive the local police officer round the block and that was that.

Its supposed to be much more difficult now but, I swear, I come across drivers everyday of all races and ages who could only have got their licence as a give away in the back of a breakfast cereal pack.

Welcome to the wonderful world of statistics - don't do anything stupid for a lot longer than six months. You are on probation while driving until you are 25. Don't believe me, check about your insurance rates now and when you are over 25.
