Default Which Plug Wires?

I have been having some plug wire problems lately. I am not sure what is on there now, but I want to put on a good set of performance plug wires so I can forget them. I have heard good things about Accel, Taylor, and MSD. I am guessing I will run 8.5 - 9mm wire. I am not scared to crimp on connectors, but would rather have pre-made ones. Any suggestions?

Also going to put on a new set of plugs. I was going to use Autolite of NGK plugs per the Cleveland forum's suggestion. Anyone know the difference between a AR25, AP25,and a regular 25 Autolite plug? Thanks!

I guess the AR25 plugs are racing plugs so are they non-resistor plugs? Is this a big deal for old cars? How bad will it screw with my stereo?

I have the Accels myself, but I've never heard anyone really complain about Accel, Taylor, MSD, Ford Racing etc. Just get the radio supression type(spiral or helicore wound, not solid core). Since they're all good, whatever is cheapest I guess. And I run Autolite plugs too, no problems. As far as the plug differences, AR is racing plug, AP is platinum and the standards are copper core I believe

I have run accel's and I do not like them. The crimped on ends tend to come off when you pull the boot off of the plug. Go for the MSD, best I have heard. I have a new set on my cleveland. It will set you back $90 though. But the best and lowest resistance out there. I also have the MSD 6-AL and pro-billet ignition. Sets the whole system off. However, I have a set of flame throwers on my 67, just to go with the pertonix module that I have.

I don't know what ends are on your distributor cap, but the Ford Racing wires are a great bang for your buck for about $45. They are the correct length and already numbered for each plug. A big plus for me is that they are available in black.

Consider staying stock...looks good...works good.

I agree about staying stock and black. I hate it when I look at an engine bay, and all I can see are glow in the dark colored spark plug wires.
