Default Engine Question

Hi all,

Can anyone explain what is the purpose of the extention (seen in the atached pic) between the block and the water pump?

That's all it is. The colors of that engine are all wrong. If it is a 65, then the block, oil filler cap and dipstick shouild be black. If it is a 66, then the valve covers should not be gold.

its a look alike HiPo too if im not mistaken, because the distubitor on my 66 GT K motor has no vacuum advance

Somehow, between your viewing and mine, a vaccuum distributor appeared. It's a regular small block.

i didnt say that it didnt have a vaccum advance, i said it was a "look alike" hipo because it had a vaccum advance
