I have a 68 convertible with a fiberglass rear deck lid. I am using an Aeroform hydraulic cylinder trunk lift kit and my body man in concerned that it will crack or distort my fiberglass lid. What do you guys use with your fiberglass trunk lids? I noticed that they now have reproduction fastback hinges with the built in coil springs. I figure the fastback lid weighs much less than a convertible and probably slightly more than a convertible fiberglass. Is a possible alternative for me or am I best suited with a prop rod?
