Can someone show me a pic or describe to me how the tail panel to bumper splash shiel should go on a 68 coupe? What type of fastners do you use? Thanks
I think you are refering to what is commonly called the rear valence. If so, there are 11 drill tip8-18X1/2 pan head screws to the body behind the bumper, a 10-24X1.0 stud plate fromthe valence to a nut inside the rear of the wheel well in the trunk on both sides and the two bumper guard brackets.

No, this is a rubber dust shield that goes between the tail panel and bumper just above the valance. Some catalogs call it a license plate dust shield.
Second try. Stupid server. It's called the 'license plate shield' and attaches with 3 8-18X1/2 round washer screws. The odd slot goes to the right and all slots point down.
