Default What should I do?

So, I didn't have much time to work on the Mustang today, figured I would just try to bolt up the front swaybar and export brace I got from www.laurelmountainmustang.com , since that shouldn't take too long. Well, it seems nothing can be correct anymore. Here's some pictures..

Back lines up nicely enough..

Passenger side, one hole half correct, the others no where close..

Same side, how about that?
http://s32.photobucket.com/albums/d9...t=PICT0146.jpg
Driver side, again half a hole...

Driver side again, at an angle..

It seems like I cant get anything done becuase every part I get is complete junk. I had to throw a set of their spring saddles in the trash last week becuase they were broke, let them know, and nothing was done to fix it. Now, I have this...

Opinions? If I knew so much of their products were Taiwan junk, I would have spent alittle more and got a kit from Opentracker to save myself the headaches and wasted money...

Nic
*Edit, sorry, pics never work...

all the repro export braces are the same...mine came from Scott Drake and fitment issues like that also.

I ended up giving it to my mechanic to make it fit...I'll make a call and let you know what they did to get it on there.

I got mine from mustang country and the fit was just fine, almost perfect. It could also be your shocktowers that have sagged over the years.

Raise the front with jackstands placed aft of the cowl. The weight of the front will make it droop. Loosely attach the brace at each shock tower. Use a drift in the holes at the cowl to help pry it into position and slip in the bolts. Tighten everything up and you're good to go.

The front of the car has been on jackstands for probably over a year now, it isnt saggy fenders.

The factory braces have been on it up till this time too, and they line up perfectly.

I guess maybe you cant see very well in the pictures, but they are absolutly no where in the ballpark. The back lines up perfect, but on the shock tower some of the holes are about an 1" off. I dont think I could even drill new holes in the bracing becuase they would have to be so far over it would be on the area where the metal curls up...

It had a sticker on it that said Mustang brace and the appropriate years. I can't remember the years its supposed to fit and I tore it all off but my year was on it.

I must be absolutly retarded. I strip myself of the title of mustang enthusiast..

In all seriousness, I got it bolted up but I sure do feel stupid. For all those of you that have done this, you know how the bolts literally slid into place in those channels? I forgot about that and I didn't have the bolts nearby to fiddle with, so I was thinking it needed to be lined up with the drain holes(I guess thats what they are for) where the bolt is inserted, not up where it is slid. Understand?

I guess you learn by your screwups, that wont happen again..

Thanks anyways guys

Haha I understand you. I broke one of those slide in bolts (don't ask) and had to replace it so I know exactly what you mean hahaha. Well I'm glad you got it figured out. No shame in the little mistakes!
