I6 Performance parts?
Clifford is the more expensive source, but also have been some of the best help, Fordsixhas alot of goodadvice and pure 6 forumsbut at the moment their parts arent in stock or something so ive been waiting along time to actually order from them, Mustangs unlimited has some good deals on L6 Cams through Comp cams, and then basic needs, starters, wires, coils etc, but performance goes to clifford or Ford six when they get back up running. What all do you want to do with your 6?
i dunno. that's why i asked thequestion.
Our Ford sixes for years were 250cu in, with cross flow heads. They can be made to produce good power and great torque and make for a pretty fast car when mated to something as light as an early mustang. I am not sure if they were the same basic engine (ie we pinched it from you) or a local design.
the current I6 in use with Ford here today produces 255hp and 290 ft/lb torque straight out of the box. Bang on a free flowing exhaust and you are in the low 13's over the 1/4 in a exec/ taxi/ grocery getter. Better yet they make a turbo one which has been detuned so it doesnt beat the 5.4l V8
