carb Info
manifold casting #C8AE-9425B
I need a new carb2V (the tag is gone) i can barely make out the number on the diver side of the carb.
ther is a1.09 inside of a circle and a 41 on the side also what looks like a letter J on the diver side bottom front of the carb body
I think it is from a '68 Galaxie from what I can gather it is a 302 2V
I need a replacement carb or a rebuild kit....
any help or advice would be welcomed.... thank you

I would just kit what you have. Go to your local auto parts house and get a kit based on the 68 Galaxie info you have. Good news is that the kits are good for a large range of years so even the info you have is not completely correct, you should still be able to use the kit to rebuild the carb. These older carbs are one of the easiest carbs to rebuild. Take your time, take lots of pictures as you go, don't throw out any thing untill the carb is back on the car and running, and have fun
