I've been in China for the last two weeks and just arrived in Shanghai (oh my God, it is hot!). We pull up into the Westin and lo and behold there's a '66 coupe!!! The doormen told me it's being used for a advertsing shoot. I asked how much the mostly stock (from what I could see) black/red car is worth in China - $125,000 to $150,000 US!!!!! (granted is it is nice condition) This classic car is revered here.

 

I'll be damned. 150 big ones huh? You must be at an internet cafe. Or, do you have your laptop with you?

 

Wow! That is a whole lotta love for a coupe. Tell them I have a fastback I'll let them have for half that price!!

 

Ya cars are ex[pensive in china

right now there is a guy trying to sell a 94 mustang with a v6 auto with over 100,000 miles for $38,000 usd and he will get it
bmw's and mercedes that usually go for 40-50k here sell for over 150,000 new there

By the way Shanghai is amazing - the neon skyline at night is like vegas without the bad taste. I wish I had my Mustang here but no way I would drive in this traffic. Think of New York traffic on at Christmas... even at 10:30 at night (which it is now)

Nothing. For about a thousand dollars you could ship it to Japan. For a cut of the profit, I have a Japanese friend who could sell it for you.
