Why not have the best of both worlds?


Put the wide whites on one side of the car and the skinny ones on the other.

Wide white walled tires don't fit on a classic Mustang. The thin white stripe is what came on them from the factory.

I'd say neither, but this is all my opinion, don't forget that it is your car and your decision, not ours. I like either raised white lettering, or just black, but like I said, that's me.

A little late seeing this, but I'd go for the narrow stripe if you're going to have anything at all other than blackwall. IIRC, the 67's came with narrow red strip "Wide Ovals" in 70-series, which would at least be a period-correct choice (although more of a V8 flavor). Either way, the stripe really only works on a restored or a generally unmodified 60's car.

Raised white letters are more of a 70's thing.
