Has anyone used this?

Does anyone have a better suggestion? What about you, Glen - JamesTopless67 tells me you have an overflow on your restomod.

I have one and it works, but it is hardly inconspicuous if you're trying to maintain a stock-ish appearance. There are other, cheaper, more clandestine catch cans available from Jegs or Summit. That said, if you don't mind the look, the chrome one you listed fits nicely next to the radiator.

FWIW, these polished stainless units are on ebay all day for $30 or less.

The stockish appearance went out the window with the braided hoses and Sanden compressor.

They have a 13" and a 15". Will they both fit?

Would you happen to have a picture?

It's worth about $30. Thanks for the tip.

Now I just need to decide which size to buy.

ugh...post disappeared.

I too have wanted one of these, but I never quite understood this: it gets hot, and overflows into your tank. What happens then? When it's cool, does it go back in the radiator somehow, or just sit in there? Doesn't seem to smart to sit in there. Thanks

That is correct. That's how modern cars with overflow tanks work. Instead of pouring onto the ground, coolant goes into the tank. It later makes its way back into the radiator.

How's the brake job going?

I'm not sure which size I got but it came from NPD. They carry the 15" & 17" tank and I believe I got the 15". FWIW, it is $44.95. I don't really have a pic, but you can see the cap in the lower right corner below. I tack welded the brackets to the radiator support between the radiator and the voltage regulator.

Yeah, I have one. Got it at Autozone for less than 10 bux. Ugly as hell but works, and I didn't pay 60 bux for it.

How does it "make it's way" back in there? maybe there's a howstuffworks.com article on it, I'll look...

the brakes..ergh. it rained when I tried to do them, but I figured it out and got it all together. Just need to bleed them. Something I don't know how to do.
