i have a 67 mustang fastback with a 289 and i am about to buy some mufflers. i would like them to be as loud as possible and sound good also. i was thinking about gettinng the new flowmaster super 44s but i just wanted to make sure none of you guys know something that sounds better. any info would be great!
The reason for the turn downs is to keep the hot exhaust gasses off of the floor. What dumb *** to cut off the exit pipe from the muffler. I think you will get enough loud joy out of the Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers and still be legal to drive it on the street.
That's where the NASCAR guys run 'em. Must be Ok for hotrods. I prefer to run the out the back so I can listen to Rush Limbaugh on my original AM radio.
