Default 68 Power steering

I just bought a used power steering set up from a 68 mustang with a 289. I have that same car with manual steering, I was going to take out the old manual steering set up and put in this power steering one after i put new seals and hoses on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do and has anyone done this before to let me know what im getting into and how long/hard it will be.

It depends on how 'complete' complete is. There is a special center (drag) link required where the control unit and ram attaches. Did you get that? Most control units and rams need to be rebuilt as well as the pump. Consider that before installation. There is also a special spacer/washer needed at the pump pivot bracket to the head needed. It's 1.0 OD, 7/16 ID and 9/16 inch thick. Did you get a three sheeve pulley for the crank and a three sheeve pulley for the fan? The belt? And as long as you are at it, consider replacing the tie rod ends and the idler arm assembly.

i have the drag link. i have almost everything because i took it off the car myself and made sure i got it. The only thing i didnt get was the belt because it was old and worn, and the pullys on the fan and crank wich i can buy easy. I will probaly just end up buying a new ram because its cheap enough. About that special spacer, i do not think i have that.
