[clinton] I feel your pain [/clinton] Thankfully, it is easier to make money than time (i.e. I could hire out the body work ... not like I have those skills or tools, or desire for that fact). My car is days away from coming out of paint and I'm gong to end up spending about three times as much money and time to do the job. You can't take it with you.

look at it this way, you're not in a hurry, so you can do it right. I can't count how many times in my earlier life i've had to insuremy ride was ready for work onmonday, and now, i don't have that concern. So what, it sits there for a month on jack stands, so what, the rear end is out for two months. when it's all done, you'll know its right.....

Be patient - I blew the motor 2 days before a show last year. This year's show is Sept. 15th and I'm hoping to actually get to turn the key this weekend. I pulled the engine, then decided to have the C4 reworked, then took a look at my newly painted block and the entire engine compartment needed a facelift... so, here it is almost a year on jackstands and I'm close, really close to getting her started and getting to enjoy driving her again! I have been putting parts on the car that I've either purchased almost a year ago or had powder coated 6-9 months ago. It's been fun but had the money, just not the time.....

I hear you,

I took mine off the road to repair the steering column.Since I had it out I decided to do the AC/heater.One thing led to another and eventually I had the whole car apart. My steering column replacement turned into a complete body and interior restore .After a year on stands its almost ready to go to paint.Time has been my number 1 enemy.I could have hadit on the road already ...IF ...I had the time

Now that I am retired I have all the time in the world, but don't have the money. It's just a vicious circle.
