Default San Jose plant status ....

I was thinking... with 66GTKFB and all the others on this forum who call Cali home, someone is bound to know the status of the original San Jose assembly plant. Is it still in use ? If not, what's being done with it ? Is it vacant and who owns it ? And now for the real pipe dream... I wonder how hard it would be to stage a reunion of San Jose cars at the place of their birth ? Call me crazy but I'd really like to drive RSRXION through the same doors she left 34 years ago. Am I nuts or is it even "do-able" ?

Just thinking out loud, Dean

It's now the Great Mall of the Bay and is located in the City of Milpitas. There's about 150 stores from sports to linen to T-shirts. My car club used to hold it's car shows there but the new mall management is not receptive. Milpitas has an agreement with the mall to maintain its historic status but that consists of a display at one entrance. I shop there once in a while, I'm about four miles away, but only in the early morning as it is a mob scene from 11 am on. Thanks, I think. On the other hand many don't anything butan opinion. Opinions are like (rhymes with 'grass-moles'), everybody has one.

Jim, you forgot to add, "they all stink, and no one wants to hear about it"

I can't say I have one...

There are no stupid questions, just stupid answers. I'll try to minimize the latter on my part.
