Default First Time Working on a classic......and I

......cut my fingers 3 times, tore my sweat pants, lost screws in grease, got my favorite "just kicking it at home" t-shirt fulll of grease and oil. Yelled at my dog 4 times for sticking his nose in grease can, cursed the car to hell., banged my tire with a mallet couple of times. All this just for changing my brake rotors. But in the end, knowing that I did it by myself, and didn't pay anyone to do it for me, makes it all worth it. Lets just hope the wheels don't fall off tomorrow when I test drive it.

Wait until you smash your head on the frame or on the inner roof of the car. Now that hurts. But good job workin on your car, you'll enjoy!

lol, try having mid back length hair, and trying to use a creeper to change an oil pan, and having antifreeze and oil on the ground

While doing the same job, I was grabbing the rotor by the collar and spinning it. I didn't let go fast enough and rolled my finger between the rotor and the brake pad. Took almost a year for that fingernail to grow back.

my best one was puting my arm on the plug wires on my truck to reach over to rev it up. i had a bare spot on a wire and i found it the hard way theres still a dent in the hood from my head.but i did find out why it had a miss lol.

I'm in the same boat - mine's down to my lower back. Last time I changed the oil in my daily driver, I managed to run over my hair every time I had to wheel in and wheel out, then cover half of it in oil and dirt, then rip have of it out as it got caught on various random things, etc.

It's worth it though.

I've been working on my car for 3 days now and I think I've lost 5 pounds in a t shirt and shorts and have consumed 5 gallons or more of liquid. If I even go out and sit in my garage I sweat. It must be nice to live where you do.
