Default Is this a good deal?

Hi all,

I had a thread going about a week ago to help me decide whether to buy a used steering assembly for my car, and I've decided to go for it. The seller, who's stripping a 1970 Mach 1, is offering me lots of parts which I'm interested in, but I'd like to know if it's a good deal for the lot. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

What I've got: A near-mint 1970 Mustang Fastback 302, 2 barrel, no power steering, no power brakes (front disk, rear drums), original car with A/C, but all the A/C parts were taken out a long time ago.

What he's offering:

1- Entire steering assembly from his 1970 Mustang Mach 1 351 (including low mileage steering box with 16:1 ratio, Drag Link, PS Pump, Power Ram (probably needs a rebuild), Idler Arm, Pitman Arm, Control Valve (needs rebuild), Centre Link, and most of the brackets. It'll need some brackets, some tie rod ends, and probably the PS Pump attachment (because it came from a 351)).

2- Complete Power Braking Unit - including pedal, hinge unit, benedix unit, core and reservoir).

3- Almost complete A/C unit - New NOS Filter / Dryer, evaporator, all new hoses, Core unit (needs a rebuild), and compressor (needs a rebuild).

He wants $550 for the lot (275$ for steering, $75 for braking, $200 for A/C).

I know and expect there's going to be some money to spend on rebuilds and a few extra parts here and there, but is this a good deal for all of these stock parts?

Thanks!

i think its a little high for used parts that could be completely worn out[&:]

you can price all those parts new and see how it compares
my rule of thumb is you wanna be paying about half if the parts are serviceable. less where rebuild or replacements are required.
have you figured out what the rebuilds will cost or even if those parts can be rebuilt???
