I got the order conformation yesterday, and I have a question. Here is the part of the conformation I am not sure about:

STEERING 65-66 V-8 POWER STEER
******* Start of Kit components *******
609 1 1 0.00 WILL SHIP
65-66 OUTER TIE ROD V8
616 1 1 0.00 WILL SHIP
65-66 INNER TIE ROD V8
618 1 1 0.00 WILL SHIP
SLEEVE TIE ROD
619 1 1 0.00 WILL SHIP
IDLER ARM 64.5-66
608 1 1 0.00 WILL SHIP
65-66 OUTER TIE ROD V8 PS LH
617 1 1 0.00 WILL SHIP
65-66 INNER TIE ROD LH PS V8
610 1 1 0.00 WILL SHIP
SLEEVE TIE ROD LH POWER

My question is, I dont have power steering, will this matter?? There was not an option block for manual or power steering, so I didnt even think about it til I got this. Should I contact them and fix it, or are the parts the same for manual and power? Thanks.
Left hand outer and innertie rods are not the same for non-power and P/S cars. Ref NPD http://www.npdlink.com/for conformation.
Jim
Edit: I don't know if it will make a difference if P/S tie rods are used on a non-P/S car. The other way is a definate no.

I called them this morning and they told me that the parts will work just fine. We will see. Gonna be pretty p1ssed if the car is torn apart and they end up not working. We will see.

Steven,
Look on the bright side, you are half way to installing power steering.

I guess you are right. I wonder how I am gonna break that one to the Mrs. I will just let her read JMD's "Might as Well" thread, then she will understand

Women like power steering. Now, 'mama' can drive your car. That's a good thing. Keep telling yourself that.

She says she loves the car, just tired of the money and time spent on it. I try to get her to drive it whenever possible, but have only succeeded 3 times. Although, once the temp cools off and everything gets updated, it will be hard to keep her out of it.

My Mrs. won't drive Ol' Yeller. She hates it. She has a lead foot in the Mach though.
