Default good deal?

Hello im new hereand i am looking for some advice, i would really apreciate it, thanks ahead of time. I have a 1965 strait six, coupemustang with 4 lug drums brakes all around. Ive been wanting to change it to 5 lug (dosn't matter disc or drums for now) i just want to be able to put some nicer rims on there. I met a guy (hes a mechanic)who is doing a drum to disc swap on a 1966 mustang, for one of hiscustomers carand he told me that he would sell the rear end and front spindles with drums, (the ones he removed)and install them for $500. Would this be a good deal? I think it is but dont know if im just happy to have found somebody who canchange my 4 lug to 5 lug. I would really apreciate your knowledge and help. He also said that since im keeping the strait six i dont have to change the outer nor inner tie rods. Later if i were to install a v8 thats all i would have to replace. Is that true? He also said that if i wanted to he could replace the drumswith disc for an extra $300, or i could do that later. What do you recomend or think. Once again thanks.

What you want to end up with is a 5 lug suspension and disk brakes at least up front. If this guy can accomplish that with those prices he quoted, then go for it. Most disk brake kits are way more than that price.

Thanks soaring i guess thats all i needed someone to tell meto go for it. Do you happen to know if the front spings will handle the weight of a v8 if i ever decide to remove the six cylinder and install a v8?

No, it won't. Like I said, you need to upgrade to a V8 suspension.
