i was out driving around the other night in my mustang and i saw another 69 mach 1 parked infront of a pizza place. it was really clean, louvers, the works. as i was admireering the car i noticed it has no back seat or so i thought, as i stared at it i noticed that the back seat had been folded down, my rear seat folds down also but not in the same way. this seat when layed down was totally flat as if it was a 2 seater. i dont know if this makes any sence to you guys but anyways ill continue... i want that in my car.. was it an opt for the 69? or a custome job. i found a pick of one off a different car. and if it was an opt for the car, is there anybody who sales this kits?? thanks..

 

For what its worth, I do not have a fold down seat in my 69 Mach. I thought that all fastbacks had the fold down seats but not in this case.

 

Yeah that is what a fold down looks like for 69-70./ Not sure whats going on with urs, but pics would help.

Let me put it to you this way; I parted out a 69 mustang fastback with a fold down, i sold the complete fold down assembly, carpet, foam upholstery trap door, handles latches, eveything... for $1200 on ebay. Expensive way to go for that look. But hey, I been there; if you gotta have it, you do just gotta have it.

 

sry its taken so long to reply my comp has been acting up but its working now so anyway the back rest of the back seat folds down but thats it. totally different from the other pic... here's some pics of mine

dude it looks like you do have a fold down rear seat. I'm pretty sure all Mach's do, mine does. It just looks like you're missing 2 of the peices, but you have the middle part. You would need the plastic cover behind what you have, and the hindged front panel that covers it all up. Also yours doesn't have the carpet (mine either) but they sell carpet for the rear seat.

Your's is a 69 mach1/sportroof correct? Because if its a coupe it could be different.

 

Here's mine with the rear panel already removed. Tell me if it looks similar to yours

 

yeah mine is a 69 mach1 sports roof, i knew my folded but i didnt know if those extra parts were an option that mine didnt come with or if i was just missing parts. and if im just missing parts i was wondering is that something im just gonna have to locate on ebay or is there a manufactuer that makes replicas

 

another thing i noticed that is different on mine is that where the back of the window ends that little section on the inside of the car is alot smaller on your car. as well as you have an extra peice of plastic that goes further back then mine does..butill take some more pics in the morning
