Default Shifter Boot

This is probably a stupid question, but I was wondering what kind of shifter boots you guys use. I've tried a Hurst shifet boot and a Mr. Gasket shifter boot, but they keep ripping after two or three weeks. What do you guys do to keep your shifter boots from tearing? Thanks in advance.

I bought two from Texas Mustang 12 years ago, and the one on the car is still in perfect condition. You can have this one for the price of shipping. Let me know. It's for a manual shifter.

I use the stock ones like Glen pictured. They're cheap and last a long time.

I thought you might notice that. Yeah, these stock boots are pretty thick and designed to take the punishment.

If you are trying to get the boot over the reverse 'T', leave the boot in the sun for 30 minutes to soften it up.

Or hit it with a butane torch for a few seconds.

I don't have the reverse lock-out so the only problem is that it always tears within a few weeks. It gets really annoying[:@].

Unless you have something for a radical shifter, these puppies will last forever.
