I'm tall...
I'm tall as well (6' 2"), and B I G too, lol.
I improved my leg room when I replaced the original seats (which I saved of course) with Elite Pro seats that I purchased from Mustang Plus, it gave me an extra inch of leg room (seats goes back a bit further than originals and also leans back further) and an extra inch of head room (the seats are lower than originals)...all I need is a tilt steering wheel for my beautiful belly, and I'm all set.

You can try and e-mail John with regard to his word doc, I also read - another forum - that he posts on. I bought 2 alumimun angles, drilled a few holes and had 2.5" of extra leg room for my 6'6" frame. I can't find the doc he sent me and didn't do one on my own.
This is the best fix I've seen.
"I have a Word document that shows how to build a set of adapters that bolt between the seat and the seat tracks. These adapters will relocate the seat 2 1/2" rearward. No welding or special hardware required. You have to drill two extra holes in the bottom of the seat. Other than that the factory parts are unchanged and you can restore the seat to stock at any time. The front and back travel of the seat is retained - it's just 2 1/2 inches further back.
Email me at jb18@tmw.com and I'll send you the document."

I know for my 02 vert GT they make seat track extenders. Look in CJ Pony part catalog. They give the seat an extra 4" of throw. Doesn't do anything for head clearance.
I'm only 5'10" and I find the 67 fastback to be none too big and my 02 Vert is TIGHT compared to the fastback.I'm sure Soaring can attest to that fact. I don't know how you tall guys drive the Mustangs. Now thats devotion to the brand. Kudos

I am 6' and still growing. I have the same trouble about leg space. My seats are even all the way back and i have little space to fit in. My knees end up about an inch or two from the steering wheel. REAL fun.
I have located four sources for seat track extenders (I also would like to be able to movemy driver's seat farther back). Prices vary from $50 to $150. It was my hope that someone here could comment on respective quality of the different units because I can't see a difference from the photos and specific details are not given.
The $50 setsare from Mustangs unlimited via ebay. CJ Pony parts has them for $79. V8 performance has "Kenny Brown" product for $150. Blue Oval Industries also sells them (can't remember the price for sure).
