I already told you. I already have suspension/brakes and tires are coming next in 1 or 2 weeks!!

Sorry but threads like this are chocked full of too many variables. Engines, transmissions, gears, drivers , surface , tires , weather conditions , hell even the phase of the moon can affect any vehicles performance.
For example a 69 Camaro with the ZL-1 option will surely destroy any 302 Mustang as factory equipped, assuming of course that traction , drivers, road surfaceetc ... areequal. On the other hand if you were to line that same ZL-1 up beside a Boss 429 or Boss 302 or even a 428 SCJ... you'd have a hell of a race once you got past the tire frying exhibition.
With all of these things in mind ... this question is unanswerable.

Traction and braking cannot be emphasized enough. The FIRST thing I did was brakes, 11.75" Wilwood rotors, with full metallic high temp pads(they wear rather well for street use suprisingly). At the track it's not a walk in the park to drag that car down from almost 110 to get the first turnoff back to the pits, I have to brake quite agressively, and that's on a sticky prepared surface, you have less traction on the street. Launching is difficult too, even with decent suspension it still has to be tuned properly, just like a carburetor. Often the guys that are fastest, don't usually have the most power, but rather the best tuned setup
I agree about the suspension but i guess it depedns what kind of camaro you are talking about too
?
Does your car have a rack and pinon setup or the old school tie rod setup?

How hard is it to beat a Camaro all depends on your wallet. If you have the money to do the right tuning (again, just pushing 4-5-600 HP out of your motor is NOT tuning) and some time to invest in real life driving andlearning how to controll the car, it is very posible to beat a Camaro or any other car on the road for that matter.
As far as where you are racing, I will give you the benefit on the doubt and say you are racing on a track (which I hope to god you are). As 67mustang302 said, it's not easy slowing down from 100. I've personally done it with my 66 coupe when it was runing and I'll tell you, there ain't NOTHING scarier than trying to stop a 3500 pound car going 110 with 4 wheel manual drum brakes, before you plow into the guard rail on your off ramp. I've done it in my 93Buick LeSabre, a 99 Grand Am and an 89 Merc Topaz. It take a lot of distance and you don't always have that on the street. Just keep that in mind before you start the race. Is it worth possibly smashing you car into a tree, or worse, just to beat a Camaro?
I am pretty sure the OP was asking about the newer (98-02) Camaros. In stock form they run mid-low 13's depending on variables. Of course you see some running 14's but that is due to the driver being inexperienced. I will say this, the LS series motors respond very well to mods and can be made insanely fast for not a ton of coin. Mine runs mid 11's with about $4000 worth of mods ( I actually have less in it due to bartering parts and buying used). So pick you races wisely, these cars are like Grand Nationals, could be a 13 second car or could be an 11 second car and you can't the difference at a glance.
Yeah, slowing down from 100 takes on average 4x the distance as slowing down from 50 does. And in regards to JD's comments, I do believe as well that the OP was talking about LS1 Camaros, which when modded can be QUITE fast, but not unbeatable(really nothing is unbeatable, there's always someone faster).
And JD....I see it's "a wise old racer" now? Is that because they gave you crap in the street/strip forum for quoting yourself in your sig? [8D]
