Default Help with start up problem

I went and picked up my car from a friends shop where it has been sitting for a few months and I am having some start up problems. I had the battery disconnected while it was there and when I hooked everything back up the car started right up and I drove it home without any issues. When I got it home I parked it and left it for a few hours and when I went to move it all it wouldn't start, and all I'm getting is a grinding/clicking noice. So I tried jumping it and nothing changed. I went and had the battery tested and everything is fine with it so now I'm thinking that its either the starter or the starter solenoid. I'm planning on checking out the solenoid tomorrow but I figured I would post here and see if anyone had a similar issue.

thanks in advance.

take a wooden hammer handle and whack on the solenoid a couple of times..then try again.
