4 Wheel Power Disk Brakes!
Hello, well ive managed to make around 3500.00 in money off of ebay this week and so im really happy! I am trying to figure out if its worth to build my suspension 1st. I was going to get 4 wheel power disk brake conversion put in for 1200.00 and probably 1 inch drop on the front and some kbn shocks. Its all stock right now. Theres also power steering I need to put in. or I could put in a/c. I really need some help to figure out whats easy to do and whats worth doing.
I also might have just enough to buy some torque thrust ii chrome wheels. i need help on what size i can put on my 1970 coupe. any suggestions on how big i can do on either front or back?
the cheapest set up is the discbrakeswap.com or you could go to ssbc which is about 400-500 more or wilwoods and bear brakes which are even more.
as far as the wheel chart... chech this out http://www.dodgestang.com/mustang.htm

For 3500 bucks I would definitely do three things
1) replace all hoses, trans-cooler lines, thermostats, etc., unless they are in great shape. (200-500bucks)
2) grab-a-trak or other reliable suspension rebuild. (1300-2500)
3) rebuild brakes or go to below
Remember infra-structure any sexy, but trusting your vehicle aint gonna blow a hose is worth a lot more than looking at your new baer brakes on a car that you cant trust to drive to the gas station would suck!
4) randall rack (power) or other r&p steering. (1695)
then I would
5) wheels and tires (match the size of the wheel to the front brakes). 1100
6) front disk swap, and adjust rear brakes with new pads, etc. (non-power bigger diameter) 1000 and up.
Forget the turbo slotted blah, blahs. Get the biggest rotors you can fit for your wheel/tire combination, and you will be fine.
then put the rest into a huge stereo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do the suspesnion before you buy tires. I bought wider tires yesterday and they rub slightly because I need to replace my leaf springs. Had I done it in the other order, I may have even been able to put a wider tire on.
btw: $1200 for all 4 disks + power booster? That's a darn good price.

no, the turbo coupe rear end is 3/4" wider on each side then a 67-70.
