After having this car for about 2 years now and making little progess on it, I feel its time to let someone have the joy of fixing her up. I survived for 2 years in the Az heat with no air conditioning, but its just not worth it.
The car needs body work and still being in high school its not easy for me to make the money to have it done, or learn how to do it myself. It needs a new driver side rear quarter panel, as well as rear bumber. It need new door skins on both doors.. The hood is primered and ready for paint, but the car needs a paint job as well. It is an inline 6, with a three speed trans. The transmission was recently replaced, as well as the clutch. Only 91k original miles. It still has drum brakes, and stock wheels. The interior is redone to black deluxe interior. The carpet is somewhat faded, but the headliner is in pristine condition. A kenwood cdplayer was installed under the dash, with 2 5.5" in the front and 2 6x8"? in the back. The car has been used as a daily driver, and runs strong, but no airconditioning, and still little accomplished on the exterior means it is time to sell.
I was quoted 1,500 for body work and another grand for the paint.
I am hoping to put my car up for sale by next week, and was looking for a starting price. I was hoping to get 3,500 for it. I was unsure of how accurate that price is. I will try and post picutres of it tomorrow, so maybe you can get a better understanding of the amount of body work needed. Thanks

My son paid $4,000 for his 66 I-6 3 speed, running driving car, decent paint, good interior, with less than 10K (but several years) on an overhauled engine, no rust, no real dents, the brakes were failing though.

This was in Las Cruces, NM a little over a year ago, purchased from a co-worker of mine.

IMO the Phoenix market should be a little better than here in LC.....

Shipping depends on how flexible you can be on delivery... If I have space left on a truckI can ship cheap, if I have to make space it is $$.

I don't want to advrtise price here because I don't want to be doing a bunch of stuff for no $$ but for "real M/Fers" a good deal can be had to most destinations... in other words no $$ for me...

Dude I have no idea what your 66 is worth, it is a great looking car...

We go everywhere in the lower 48, some destinations are more popular than others... AZ NM TX is easy for me to start or finish in,but in time any origin or destination, or combinationis possible, but more complicated for "space available" shipping...

cost of full paint job 5 to 20 k, may be daily driver but what else hasn't been replaced? , cheap full ac system is 650.00 on e bay ,,I know,, I live in mesa az,, shot quarter panels /glass etc,,,detracts from sale cost,,,the thing to remember is it's still under construction,,do you have receipts for any work or parts?...also understand you can buy a mustang with skin cancer any where in the US and if theres skin cancer,, is there frame/floor pan issues?
