So .. how are ya'll doing?
Hey, another Ford/Pontiac person!
Lately, I split my time and money between my 69 Mustang and my 67 Firebird. When I get tired of working on the Mustang, I take the Firebird for a cruise. It's important to keep motivated.

Welcome back Pammie. Last I heard from you I think you were going to post a pic of yourself but someone deleted the thread up top along with the SuperSnake thread.

Grrrr I am SO jealous! 1967 Firebird is what I'm looking for. I saw one locally but it would have needed too much body work, had odd drill holes here and there, cracked Bondo showing and the dash was so hacked up ... so I'm always looking for that elusive car!!

I bought it with a blown (as in thrown rod) Chevy 350 and a TH350. Now it has a Pontiac 400, 4-speed, and a 3.42 posi rear. Here are some pics: Firebird Front
Firebird Side
Firebird Rear
It's far from perfect, but I prefer my cars to have a little "character".

My plan is to build my Mustang as a mild driver, with an EFI 5.0 and AOD (maybe a supercharger too), and go a little more extreme with the Firebird.
Anyway, nice to meet you.

LOL
I've been so involved with other stuff that I "missed out" on all the MF drama.
The Grande is sitting in the garage collecting dust, I still need to finish the rear quarter patches.
BUT...
I bought a lot in town (will be building a house soon), that is covered in blue brush, so I have been busy fixing all sorts of old equipment so I could clear the lot. I borrowed a large FMC chipper (powered by a 318 dodge!!!) from the 70's "the Fargo chipper", it needed the mechanical governor fixed, and four new belts to drive the chipper drum. It is by far the scariest piece of equipment I have ever operated, it had no mercy. The other antique I have been working on is a 1939 D2 Caterpillar, it has a hydraulic blade and is in pretty good shape for it's age, I had to change every fluid (gallons and gallons), and put two new injector pumps on it.

If things go well, I'll have my own 1967 Firebird tomorrow afternoon .... will know in about ... 32 hours, but who is counting, right?
(Then I'll be jealous you have 4-speed and a 400!)
