Default V-8 Cruise!!

My son and I managed to get the 66 put together enough to take a little drive tonight! Oh yea,,,

First drive in the "V-8" Mustang... We found a little first gear scratch, some second gear scratch, and some third gear scratch... never made it to 4th or 5th except to slow down in 4th and accidently into 5th while looking for 3rd...

Couldn't go too far from home, we didn't have a fan because the used elec fan that I had planned on was too thick to fit between the water pump and the radiator... [:@]

We were able to drive it for about 20 min at a time, and only got it to a high temp of 212, never boiled over or puked coolant..

It was a blast, but a long day too.

That first test hop, leaves a grin, that begins to make all the work sooo worth it.
Sounds like everything is cool, Hehheh
I'll be watching your electric fan install with interest, I havent picked between the 3.8 fan & Mk VIII fan,I have. Maybe one is a spare.

I will admit that the I-6 with 4.11 gears was a kick to drive,,, but this thing is a beast, and it is really fun to run through those gears...

Yea it was actually a trouble free first run, which I never seem to have managed in the past!

And the car ran great, right up untill I started "adjusting" the carb.. Well that leaves some stuff to do this afternoon...

I ordered a 3,600 cubic foot a minuite fan, that is supposed to be here Monday. I will let you know how it goes...

I had a used fan that I was going to use, it fit perfectly inside of the radiator shroud, but I failed to note that it was almost 5" thick,,,,, no go... what a dumb ***...

Jim, that's awesome! Please post another video of the exhaust once you get the carb adjusted. Can you reverse the direction of the fan and make it a pusher? If you can mount it on the front of the radiator.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you order the fan from and how much did it cost?
