Why are there so many Autos?!
It's almost incredible, my god! I've been trying to search for a decent 65-69 'Stang with a 289 or 302 in it that COMES with a god damn stick and there is literally none! Every single one has an automatic!! What is with this?! Were automatics just the "cool" thing to get back in the '60's or what? I'm up in Seattle, and although there are the 289/302's with sticks, they are truely one in a million.
YOU may laugh at this answer.....but!!! in the 60's women were just starting to work....couldn't or didn't drive stick shifts. More people would buy the automatic.
and seeing as how these cars ahve been around for 40 years, and car guys, for the most part, like manual trannys more (atleast this is what i see from personal experience) manual cars are more desierable, and have already been bought
