Default mustang shops

tell us who your favorite, most reliable shop is. Personally, I've got four here locally. two are well designed, withgood marketing, but I find them difficult to deal with, most of the time they have a chip on they're shoulder. the two low budget places here in town are great, and they know what they're talking about, that's American Mustang and J&KMustang. I have never been dissatified with there service, parts, or technical expertise.

Where are you at? Personally my favorite shop is the big shop down at my dad's work, they have lifts and pretty much every tool we could ever need, media blaster, power washer, compressors, parts washer, and many more convenient things, so we just go down there on the weekend and get it done ourselves.

My favorite garage is the one between the backdoor and the driveway. I prefer to do as much work as possible myself....

I used a shop in Vineland, NJ that I would highly recommend - Gelsi Mustang World. We had them restore our '67 deluxe S-code convertible (in Dark Ivy Green, with a 4-speed). Their work was top-notch. The owner, Bob Gelsi, is acharacter, but he's good.

We sold that car to Dover Downs, who made it a grand prize give-away for their slots. I hear the car is still in Delaware, but I haven't seen it since.

My favorite mustang shop? My garage. I don't trust other people, to many shuysters and people that don't give a damn about someone elses car. The ones that may are typically way over pricedfor labor. These cars are so simple that what I did not know how to do, I just educated my self and went for it.

I try to do most of the work myself, but hopefully soon I'll get my exhaust and brakelines done at my dad's shop. As for actual Mustang places, CJPonyParts is the closest place that specializes in our cars and have great products. Still a good 3 hour drive though

A+++ on this. Learning how to work on your own wheels is a great thing!

This is why we felt the need to open one. We even worked for one, and that pushed us to start our dream much earlier than we ever thought. We are starting to see alot of our customers from the shop we used to work at.

There is a shop here in San Diego, called the Mustang Shoppe and the work they do is great but markup on parts and labor is crazy. I didnt look into the prices online or in any magazines before buying a hood hinge and I paid $45 for one hinge, only to find i could have ordered a pair for the same price.. The guys there are a great help if I have questions and I have even gone in and gotten a few misc. screws and little things for free from them, like the bolts for my windows..But still , I will do as much in my own 2 car garage as the wife and my own will, will allow...
