Default Sprint 250

Does anyone know anything about this engine? Is it "rare" or anything? What years was it installed?

Did a 250 come in the mustang? I thought it was just the 200s. It was a promotion by Ford in 66 to promote the 200 over the 289, as the 289s were being sold at rediculous numbers, and they were having a hard time keeping up. The 200 had a chrome air cleaner, and other goodies...not sure of them though.

yea it was in 66. i think they did it a couple other times too, but I'm not sure. Here is a good write-up of it:

I can't find any production numbers though. As for being rare. Well maybe. They aren't really that "wanted" though. lol
