Default exhaust opinions

so im almost ready to do my exhaust and i was wondering if i could get a few of your opinions on the matter.. i already decided on flowmaster 40 seiries mufflers but do you think i should run piping all the way back or dump it under the car

Opinion: Flowmaster 40s dumped under the car would be almost unbearable....

That would sound cool from standing outside the car. But to drive it would be misrable. over the axle and keep it tucked up. as always its your ride.

ok well i wont dump it.... but i was thinking also what if i have it turn under the car and pop out in front of the back tires would sound bad in the car also... if so ill just run it back

In front of tiires is cool. Just as long as the sound is out from under the car.[8D]

So not true about being aunbearable.I have longtubes through 2.5 and 40's with turn downs(dumps under the car) and it isnt too bad at all.Im not saying its not loud but far from unbearable.Ive ran straight headers..now thats unbearable

If you don't want to be able to listen to the radio or have a conversation with anyone else in the car, then dump it underneath, its not unbearable, but not practical IMO. Straight headers is to put it plainly, ridiculous. Sounds like a race car, but damn it's loud especially with a 351.

Wrong again.I drive mine on a daily basis and have convos in it everyday and listen to the radio and dont miss a word.
