idle changes
I just had tri-Ys put on and noticed a change in my idle. When I got home, I broke out the timing light to see if I can perk it up a little. I did my best to find TDC by using the finger in the #1 plug hole and mark it. I then pulled off the air filter and the idle dropped far enough to stall the engine.
It has a autolite 2100 carb so I set the idle at 600 rpm, pretty close to what the manual says. I took it for a test drive and it runs a little rough still. I didn't find any vacuum leaks either. Any ideas? Does the carb need a little adjusting?
Not to change topics mid post, but I was considering picking up an AL 4100 carb, will that give me a little more hp and torque with the addition of the headers?
thanks

about 580-600 rpm. not sure about dwell and all that other stuff. My harmonic balancer doesn't have any markings other than the crayon mark I put on it and I don't know how accurate I really was when marking it.
The carb is a AutoLite 2100 with 1.14 venturis. My 65 manual doesn't list their recommended setting for that specific carb. The tag isn't on the top of the carb so I don't know what year it was manufactured. any recommendations?
