Default ENGINE IS IN THE SHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need some help though,, I have a choice between these cams and need some opinions.. And I have a great story about the sale of my little Pontiac Sunfire to tell too, but that will wait until tomorrow..

Let me know which one sounds the best for my application.. A street driven, Daily driver 351w with get up and go that will go well at highway speeds, cause that is mostly all california driving is..

#2 or #3, #3 is pushing stock springs to the limits, but honestly i wouldnt recommend any of the above (is this what you are limited to?)

I wouldn't run any of the above. The advertised duration is really long given the specs @ .050 on the first two and you don't give that number for the third. Once that valve starts on it's way up you want it to get open as soon as it can and then close quickly. Long duration requires compression rato to be up as those long duration numbers mean the loss of cylinder pressure. Also, longer duration means higher RPM operating.

What compression ratio are you going to run?
Are you going to leve the stock springs in the heads?
What are your rear gears?

IDK, but I think I would want a cam that might get me to 5,500 at the top of the powerband....

4,000 rpm seems kinda low too me....

I got the edlebrock 2182 from Jegs http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...10002_34762_-1

total was $157.98 with two day shipping straight to my machine shop.. They are going to bore the motor 030 over, and do a long block build. I was going to have the heads ported but decided against (mostly because of cost, and they dont do it there) Then they will deliver it to me after its all done!!! Probably next tuesday, due to the long weekend..
