Is my butt too big?
i'm just throwing this out there, but unless you were running a shelby, mustang usually came with an 8" open, with prefered2.89 gears. I believe the K code hi-po's came with the limited slips, 3:00 and higher, and only the shelby's came with a 9". quickest way to spot it. . . . look at the case from the rear, if it looks like a sideways oval, flat top & bottom, it's an 8", if it looks circular, it's a 9".
Its definitely got the flat spots on it. So its an 8 inch.
I always get confused by what gear is what, but she is pretty slow off the take off, but great passing gear at 60 MPH. So I think that means she has a low gear like you mentioned 2.89? I was thinking of 3.55??

I just ran the codes on the warranty plate on the door. It translates to 2.80, but nothing about the size of the axle.
Where would the axle tag be? I dont think there is one on there, but I want to make sure I am looking in the right spot.
