Guys please don't laugh to hard at this question. Isn't there a hose that goes from the oil cap in the valve coversto the breather body? It's a 302 2v. Oil cap has what looks like a pcv valve in it with just an open end. When car is running there is a lightsplatter of oil and smoke that comes out of the valve in the cap. Hose looks like it has been cut. I have been having the car a week and just trying to get everything right.

 

Yeah, closed systems had a hose running the breather into the air cleaner.

 

Correct starfury, not from the oil cap to the valve covers because they go to the same place.
And the pcv valve hose attaches to manifold vacuum port. So 2 hoses, one per valve cover.
