Default deal or not?

I picked up a 73 390 FE motor today with a truck C6. It has a cast iron 4bbl manifold. It also has an electronic ign dist. I paid $100. I actually pressure washed it after these pics were taken and it looks pretty decent. It also came with cast iron exhasut manifolds.

Well, you'll need Mustang heads if you want to put it in a Mustang. Non-Mustang heads don't have the right exhaust bolt holes=/

I never heard about the bolt thing.... but if this helps any, I think I read that the 390 was originally put into cars only during this period, 360s went into the trucks of this era, so, if I am right, and if the engine is indeed a 390, this= car engine = possible Mustang engine.......

In any case, for $100 you can hardly go wrong.

I was not aware of that starfury. If I am going to build it I'm sure I would find some good 428 aluminum heads for it.

It's still light outside so I snapped a few more pics.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I've always wanted a big block mustang. Maybe when I get tired of that puny 347 I'll sell it and build this monster.

05, I'll stop buying all the crap if you stop buying all the mustangs in Alaska!

Although there is still some light out now we are losing about 5 minutes a day. Before long it will be dark most of the time
