Default c4 vs c6?

Can anyone tell me the differences between these two transmissions? How similar are they dimensionally? Thanks!

Not 100% sure dimensionaly, but I know the C6 is way stronger than the C4, but it also robs a little more horsepower.

c4 small block c6 was used on both the small block and big block but they made two different c6 so because if you buy a used one not on a engine.

[align=left]+1. The C6 is beefier and takes more power to turn the beast. They are building C4's now to handle any amount of horsepower. If you don't mind the loss of a few horsies, get a small block C6 like andrewmp6 mentioned.

The C6 is heavier, bigger, and robs more horsepower. Make sure if you go with the C6 you get the small block bellhousing version. I went the C6 route only because that's what the car came with and at the time my budget wouldn't allow me to go with the C4.

The C4 would be my choice if starting from scratch. They make them now to sit behind 1000 hp engines and handle the abuse. Look in Jegs or Summit. The prices are good too.
