Default Rock chips

Does anyone know how to keep rocks from chipping the paint. My car only has about 12k on the paint job and two chips on the front from rocks.

I know you cant keep it like new if you are going to drive it but just wanted to slow down the dammage.

Did you get some touchup paint after the paint work?
The only way to prevent paint chips are: (i'm not trying to be smart but)
1. Don't tailgate!!
2. Drive slower than other traffic.
3. Put a bra on it, (may cause rubbing on the paint).
4. Keep off gravel roads.
5. Leave it in the garage.

Use some 3M clear film on the leading edge of the hood, front valance, and down the rocker area (if you don't have the polished gravel gaurds.)

Thanks. I have one chip around the headlight and the other on the leading edge of the hood. What are the polished gravel guards

The gravel guards are the silver metal (maybe aluminum) trim pieces that run down the whole rocker area from the front wheel to the rear. You car has them in your avatar, not sure they went back on after paint.

I know alot of newer Mustang owners put wide wheels on the front and they are just wide enough to throw rocks down the side of the car. Really screws the paint on the entire side. And like said above, keep your distance from other cars.
