honestly, if you dont have an engine to put it in and you have money go with a 545 stroker.

Kasse p51 heads and intake with a hyd roller will get you 700 hp pretty quick.

+ 1,,,, first car +budget = keep it simple, go with the 302....

There is more to swapping engines than just "boltin it in".... keep it simple on your first go round, it will save you time and $$$, and agrivation.....

The Cleveland will cost more to overhaul and modify than the W, plus swap expenses... do it on your next Mustang...

We have already had this discussion . They are almost identical in cost to build to a moderate level. Someone had posted the summit pricing to do both and it was within dollars.
