Default aftermarket front valance

I am putting a fiberglass R model front valance on 66 FB. The way it turns in and wraps over the front crossmember, there is no way to attach the bottom of the hood latch assembly. Is there a modification to the latch. It would look a lot better if it did not stick down below the lower grill support. Has anyone used one of these front valances?

You can, cut the brace off at the gravel shield, at least you can if your installing the "R" valance w/Front bumper.

That's what I did...cut mine off at the gravel shield and bolted it securely.

I have been thinking about putting one on my 65 2+2 , but since it's one of the first Fastbacks built , I'm not sure because She's beautiful the way she is except for the wheels , interior , exterior colors

most of them on sites for sell say you have to use hood pins or make your hood latch fit.

"rmodel65" your car looks great, when do you plan to finish (or is it). Does anyone have more pictures (detail) of thefront that does not use the front bumper. I plan to start my wifes car in a week or two as soon as I get my rotisserie back.
